Hello, Here comes May! I am hoping the weather cooperates and we keep getting those warmer temps. I am going to be sending home all winter gear that is still in their lockers: snow pants, boots, mittens, hats, or extra sweatshirts. Be on the lookout for those. Hello, Thank you to everyone that came to our Earth Day Family Night. It is always good to see everyone and I hope that your family enjoyed it! May 25th and 28th: No School Reading: In reading this week we are continuing with nonfiction book clubs. We are learning how we can learn together, how to learn as much as you can from each section, and how to retell the most important things you learn. Here are a few photos of the book clubs in action! Writing: Writing topics have been chosen! We have a range of topics that students are going to be working on in the next few weeks. Ranging from songs and poem to brochures and posters. Hello, Wow! What a crazy storm. I hope you were all able to stay off of the roads as much as possible and spend time cozied up indoors! We have a busy 4 day week ahead of us. The field trip is tomorrow (4/18/18) and students will be eating lunch at school. Thank you to everyone that brought in boxes for writing! We have been busy creating our book boxes to hold all of our writing. And another thank you for all of your work with the Knowledge-a-thon! Students had a lot of fun and it is such a great fundraiser for our wonderful school! Happy KAT Week!  Please continue to practice the questions at home.  Friday morning students will be asked to answer them. There will be prizes for the classroom with the most answers correct! Also, do not forget about field trip forms for the field trip to the PAC next week! Lastly, we will be collecting boxes this week to make book boxes for our writing books. I have a few but any that you can donate would be great! Boxes that are small like: cereal boxes, granola boxes, cracker boxes, etc. If you could have them to school by Friday that would be great! Hello, A few important papers are going home this week! Yesterday we sent home a blue field trip permission slip for the PAC. Today, you will recieve a paper for the family night. Wow, what crazy weather! Spring in Wisconsin usually involves a few snow storms. Thank you for continuing to send snowpants and boots, let's hope this was the last snow storm of the season!
